Did you know?

Giving Tuesday is coming soon. This month we'll be sharing ways to support CONAPAC's work. One way is with the Adopt-A-School program, funding a school or a student, volunteering in March to distribute supplies.

Did you know that when you donate to Adopt-A-School ($450) you receive a thank you packet filled with artwork and letters from your designated community? Each packet contains a booklet from the CONAPAC Adopt-A-School program with a thank you letter, a map locating your community, a supply list of student and classroom materials, photos of community members and volunteers, and letters and artwork from teachers and students.

Volunteers assemble each packet with the drawings and letters, as well as photos from supply deliveries. These packets are carried back to the US where our friends at the Detroit Zoo prepare them for shipping.

Donors who donate a minimum of $450, either as a one-time donation or split into portions, receive a packet. Often, donors request the same community year after year, especially if they had volunteered in the past.

In 2024, we assembled and shipped 226 Adopt-A-School donor thank you packets.

About Giving Tuesday

Millions of people have come together to support and champion the causes they believe in. This global day of giving harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year’s #GivingTuesday will take place on December 3 and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.

And here is a sneak peek at our end-of-year fundraiser. Further details next week!

Want to donate?

We have several long-time donors and partner organizations who work tirelessly for CONAPAC; with you, we can do so much for our communities.

Our work is only possible with the many other donations, big and small, that we receive throughout the year.
