Community Connections Project
Add a layer of service and volunteerism to your Explorama itinerary for an unforgettable human connection experience.
Enrich your visit, and connect with the community.
If you are planning a stay at Amazon Explorama Lodges, partner with CONAPAC to facilitate a one-day service project for your family or group in a rural river village. This is a great opportunity for student groups, families, and friends alike to engage in a cross-cultural experience.
Your work for the day may include:
Building playgrounds, bridges, or community gazebos.
Painting schools or fixing fences.
Planting local fruit trees.
Other similar activities.
Your activity may vary depending on the time of year, the size of your group, and the needs requested by local community leaders.
Your group will work hand-in-hand with community members on these environmentally friendly projects during the morning, share lunch in the village, and still have time for some fun activities with the community members.
Working together with village members allows for social and cultural exchanges that are unique to this type of experience.
The cost for up to 20 participants is $625 per group and $825 for a group of 21-26. These fees help cover the cost of supplies used during the service project.
